Emily Mortimer

Emily Mortimer, a British actress and screenwriter is known as a major contributor to Hollywood movies. A former theater student with the distinction of a notable legacy, Mortimer has an unassuming personality. Her role was in the film 'Mary Poppins Returns', which was a sequel to 1964's iconic musical 'Mary Poppins' that was a classic. This film marked an achievement for Mortimer. Her character was an eccentric French assistant in 'The Pink Panther' films along with an ambitious, headstrong news director in 'The Newsroom. Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer is the daughter of famous writers and barristers Sir John Mortimer (born in Hammersmith) and Penelope Gollop. She was born on December 1st in 1971. Emily has a number of siblings. There is a half-brother in her, Jeremy and an older half-sister named Sally as well, both of whom are from her father's marriage earlier to writer Penelope Fletcher. Her younger sister is known as Rosie. There is also a half-brother who is named Ross Bentley, from her father's relationship with actor Wendy Craig. Mortimer attended St Paul's Girls' School (London) where she was a student. She studied English and Russian at Lincoln College at Oxford University in Oxford, and received a diploma from the institution in 1994.
